🛡️ AI Agent Ran a Ransomware Attack Solo
Sysdig documented JADEPUFFER, the first ransomware attack executed entirely by an AI agent — no human at the keyboard. The agent exploited a patched Langflow flaw (CVE-2025-3248), stole credentials, and encrypted 1,342 database configuration entries, fixing a failed admin login in just 31 seconds.

⚖️ Meta Posed as Teens to Attack Rival AI
Wired reports Meta ran a secret program called "Cannes," paying contractors to create fake under-18 accounts and flood OpenAI, Google, and Character.AI chatbots with disturbing prompts — nearly 3,800 in one round, hundreds about suicide and self-harm. Meta called it "industry-standard" benchmarking; the targeted companies say they had no idea.

📉 Microsoft Cuts 4,800 Jobs
Microsoft is eliminating 4,800 jobs — 2.1% of its workforce — with Xbox hit hardest: 3,200 gaming roles gone by fiscal 2027, including 1,600 cut immediately and four studios spun out. Microsoft has been 2026's worst-performing megacap tech stock, down roughly 19%, as its own AI products lag rivals.

🔍 Amazon's Starlink Rival Nears Commercial Launch
